CHRIS KING · OWNER / LICENSED ELECTRICIAN
Chris King — Owner
Chris King is the owner of King Electrical Services. He's ECRA/ESA licensed and has more than fifteen years of experience in the trade, and he oversees every job the company takes on, from the first quote to the final inspection.
The company takes the unglamorous parts of the trade seriously: permits get pulled, inspections get booked, panels get labelled properly. That's the work that still matters five years after the job's done, even though nobody calls to compliment a neatly labelled breaker.
Over a hundred and fifty jobs in, the approach hasn't changed much: show up, give a straight answer, and do the work properly whether it's getting inspected or not.
Credentials
What the licence actually covers.
ECRA/ESA licensed
Licensed through Ontario's Electrical Safety Authority (#7017242), the body that regulates electrical contractors across the province.
Permits, handled
When a job legally needs a permit, it gets one. Inspections get booked instead of skipped.
15+ years
Most of it spent on residential and commercial jobs in and around Ottawa.

A short list of things we don't skip.
- Licensed and insured, ECRA/ESA #7017242.
- A written quote before any work starts.
- Permits and inspections handled, not skipped.
- A clean job site when we leave.
- Direct communication from quote to final walkthrough.
- A straight answer about what a job actually needs, even when that's "nothing yet."
Ross is on every job.
Ross is the apprentice electrician at King Electrical Services and works alongside the team on every job, from a quick service call to a full rough-in.
Range of work
Built for the job, not just the photo.
Most calls are a panel, a few outlets, or a troubleshooting visit. Some are bigger: trenching in underground service to a new garage, or roughing in an entire addition before the drywall goes up. Our trucks carry enough gear for either one.
